In my photographs, I attempt to convey a sense of the beauty, emotion, or wonder that I find in a particular scene. I am drawn to images of the city as well as to those that convey the solitude and power found in nature. I took this picture in Baltimore while visiting my grandchildren. They had left their scooters in unplanned symmetry on the back deck. The transitory nature of the scene struck me. Soon, they would return, reclaim their scooters, and head off on the next adventure. The image would be gone forever.
