“Ready to Pounce” is from a series from my closest Polar Bear encounter in Svalbard, Norway. As I watched the young Bear play in the snow, search for food, and decide whether to lunge at me while I was watching it from the Zodiac, I knew I wanted to tell that story. The image was converted to black and white to make it look like a charcoal drawing. As a Nature/Travel photographer, I strive to share stories like these from home and abroad.
