Jürgen M. Lobert

I mostly create nightscapes and long exposure dayscapes, hauntingly beautiful views of captured time and deepened colors. Night photography transforms the familiar and creates serene views of our surroundings, revealing beauty in the mundane, which we often rush by, but rarely acknowledge in its beauty.

One early evening in June of 2020, a crescent moon set over the Boston skyline and disappeared in a cloud band that was illuminated by the city lights. The dark part of the moon is illuminated by the glow of Earth. That faint outline of the full moon circle is what we call Earth Shine.
