Henry Winkleman

I was given my first SLR camera as a wedding gift 50+ years ago — and have been taking pictures since then.

I joined my first Camera Club in the early 1970s. Besides taking photographs, I enjoy reading about photography, attending lectures, visiting exhibits, and now during the pandemic watching programs on ZOOM.

I am currently using the Olympus mirrorless digital camera after using Canon film and digital cameras for years.

I do not have a favorite subject or genre. I look for interesting content, color and compositions.

I almost always have a camera with me to use at a moment’s notice.

The image that is included in the Boston Camera Club’s Photo Banner exhibit was taken in Jerusalem. While walking we passed a flower shop that had buckets on the sidewalk filled with beautiful tulips. Later I worked in Photoshop to create the current image.
