David Roberts is William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor Emeritus of Astrophysics at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. He has been a photographer for over 50 years, and has worked in a variety of media including black and white film (35 mm and 6x7 cm) and full color digital imaging. His work centers on realistic representations of the natural world. Favorite subjects are landscapes (often rendered in black and white) and orchids (which he grows himself).
